“While I said I would recommend these shoes and they are for the most part comfortable and sizes correctly I assumed they can and should be worn without socks. However when I first wore the back of the shoe rubbed against my Achilles and the rubbing resulted in a rawness that required a band aid. It was painful and made it difficult to walk in them. Also when I flipped the back of the shoe in so as to be able slip in and out of them easily with every step they felt like they would fall off my foot.”
