Only issue, is it's hard to get on, if you want the heal up. However, for the little hassle, it's worth it.”
“These shoes are not what I expected, but I love them. It was hard to see in the pictures on the website, but they don't have a tongue (that's what surprised me). I think that is a good thing (?) as one can leave the laces somewhat loose and have the shoe be a slip-on for casual wear. For athletic activities, you are going to want to cinch up.
Minor caveat to my 5-star review: the crush-down heel isn't really my favorite on this particular pair of Olukais. It's a bit tall and stiff. It's good for athletic purposes that it is such, but it makes the crush-down feature something I don't want to use on this shoe, as the extra length of the heel which ends up underfoot causes it to extend far enough down that it is rather uncomfortable. Also a shoe-horn is best for putting the shoe on.
I wrote a lot in the last paragraph to explain what you are getting (your feet) into, but it really is a fantastic shoe: comfortable, very light weight, great support. It works as a true athletic shoe with no socks, but socks work with it too. The mesh material is wonderful and airy for great ventilation. And the color and style can't be beat.”
