“I bought this pair for a trip to France which was predicted to have some rainy weather and which makes it slippery on old stone pathways. The shoes worked out great for the wet weather and provided good traction on the slippery surfaces so I was very happy about that. The only negative for me was that these shoes took a long time to break in, and they were not comfortable to wear during that time. To help with the break in I switched out the insoles to some custom ones that helped. They are fine to wear now, I just hadn't had that experience with Olukai shoes before. My wife mentions that the spatter pattern on the side of the soles makes the shoes look dirty. I hadn't thought of that until she mentioned it. It doesn't bother me though.”
