“Once they are on my feet, extremely comfortable, I hardly know I have shoes on. Unusual color receives lots of compliments! Highly recommended, even if not easy to get into.”
“Love the Makiki! Super grippy sole, good ankle and arch support, and looks incredible. The color really does remind me of Kauai's red dirt roads everytime I look down. The toe box was a little stiff upon first putting them on, but one walk with my dogs had it broken in perfectly. Surprise bonus that they came with an orange pair of replacement laces.
One thing to note: these are narrower than most OluKai shoes (based on my experience with their chukka boots, rain boots, no-tie boat shoes, Mio Li sneakers, 'Imaka trainers, and flip flops). I normally get a size 12 for most of their shoes and flip flops; size 11.5 for the chukka boots. I went with my normal size 12 based on previous reviews. This was the right choice as any smaller would have been uncomfortable. If you have wide feet, maybe look elsewhere or size up.”
