I wore these two weeks around the house and to the grocery store before two weeks of travel in Angola, Africa. Soothing comfort after a day in the bush. They handle rough surfaces very well, rocks, boulders at the beach and around lodging. They have not shown adverse wear and tear. Rubber soles are without damage, stitching at seams appears to be tight and intact, material at outer base is in fine condition, no tears, threads or loose pieces.
