“I start wearing these flip flops as soon as I can in the spring. They are my favorite and make my feet feel so so good. I will say they take a little time to get used to/break in both because of the piece between your toes as well as the stitching on the bottom. The strap also stretches a little. This might be a problem for some people but hasn’t been for me and might even enhance the comfort. I have owned my pair for probably three years with heavy use. They are still good but now are showing a little wear.”
“I loved my first OluKai flip flop but they don't make the model anymore and I wear them so much they are wearing out. So the Paniolo looked like the closest replacement but it has features that aren't as good, although it is a quality leather sandal. First, the decorative stitching on the footbed is annoying on the feet. Second, the straps connect to the footbed on the inside of the footbed rather than on the outside, which makes a snugger strap and is less comfortable. Third, the straps and the toe joint are not as thick and plush as my last model. But I'm getting used to them.”
“I own 3 pairs of these & highly recommend this model. I have high arches and the molding combined with the thick quality leather & stitching seem to mold and massage my feet like a fine leather glove. I have an older pair in wedge height which took a while to break in, but now they are the only wedge thong I’ll wear. I really hope they remain making this model because I really don’t want to have to search for another sandal again.
