“I had a pair of these for 1.5 years and they were wonderful; minus the strap-to-buckle connection which wore out quickly. When I saw that these had switched to an all leather attachment I was excited to order another pair. The first pair came and both shoes were markedly tighter across the feet than my old pair had been when they were new but the right one was particularly tight. I measured my feet...still the same size. I measured the sandals and sure enough the right shoes strap that goes across all your toes was 14cm and the left 14.5 cm... the old ones measured both feet at 15.5 cm, which of course when they were new was probably a bit smaller to be fair. I called and was sent another size 6 and these new shoes are measuring the exact same way; right shoe 14cm and left 14.5. Also, for those that have an older pair, it should be noted they have also gotten sloppier with their glue and attachment points and they have changed the leather straps to something that is matte and looks more like rubber.
I loved these shoes, I've sung Olukai's praises since I bought them, but I can no longer recommend the brand. Until they bring quality control back up and start offering half sizes (I would have gladly gone up a bit to ensure a fit) I will be very leery of buying from them. They get 3 stars because at least the customer service people tried and were very nice, plus the shoes will be perfect for someone with a VERY thin foot (measured from ground to top of foot, I don't mean narrow.) I for one am off to google how best to stretch leather...”
