“A year ago I purchased a pair of Alukai slippers. The shoes fit perfectly. In fact they were most therapeutic for peripheral neuropathy. Therapies such as an implanted spinal cord stimulater (SCS), inserts in shoes and other medications like gabapentin ( generic Lyrica.). I tried prescription medication as well as other over the counter medications. Very minimal relief was provided.
Initially my purchase was the lined slip-ons which are very comfortable and relieve pain on the pressure areas on my feet between the my toes and the ball of my foot. These shoes were a God-send.
I have worn the slippers almost everywhere. Those provided much relief I purchased another more stylish pair of shoes(Wausau-silver slippers. These provide the same relief. Now I am convinced the relief must be from the design of soles of these shoes.
I hope some day they might develop a classier shoe more suitable for cold weather. Until then I’ll continue to wear my slippers in comfort.”
