“These are my new dress up slippers. Growing up in Honolulu I always had everyday slippers and dress up slippers. In those days my best dress up slippers were made of velvet and purchased from Slipper House in Ala Moana shopping center. They had velvet straps and either velvet or woven lahala foot beds. These velvet slippers looked great and felt great on your feet. While made of leather instead of velvet, my new Hono slippers fill the same dress up niche. They are simply elegant and look great with a dress. And I love the engraved Hono. For me, every time I see a turtle is my good fortune. So I guess you could say these are my lucky dress up slippers.
