“I bought these to wear on a weeklong trip to Ireland where I knew it would be rainy on and off plus there would be a lot of walking. I wore them every day and they were so comfortable right out of the box. The first time I had them on was walking around the streets of Dublin. Did not have any break in time at all. They did come with a couple of scratches in the leather and I worried that they would easily be scuffed up but they held up pretty well. They survived the rain and puddles beautifully. The grip on the soles was excellent. We scrambled over several wet rock trails and I never slipped once. The only minor thing I will mention is that they were a little big around the top of the foot. The footbed was perfect but I felt like the top of the shoe could have been a little more snug - there was a bit of excess material - just a bit. Highly recommend. I took a gamble on an expensive shoe (to me) and it worked out.”
