“I own a Mossberg Maverick 88 and came across 1-3/4" shells a while back, picking up a box on a whim. When trying to cycle the shells, though, I was regularly getting 3-4 misfeeds per 8 shells...not exactly what you're looking for in the reliability field. I stumbled across the OPSol mini-clip on YouTube and decided to give it a go.
Even though I placed my order during the holiday season, the mini-clip arrived at my house within a week from purchasing. Fitting this adapter into the Maverick 88 was a breeze and removing it is just as simple. As for the cycling reliability with the adapter installed? Absolutely flawless. I was about to cycle all 8 shells, time and time again, with no misfeeds whatsoever.
If you own a compatible Mossberg and are thinking about buying (or already own) 1-3/4" shells, the OPSol mini-clip is an absolute no-brainer of a purchase. You can't put a price on your firearms working reliability...but OPSol did, and it's less than $20.
