Hi Nathan, the product doesn't need reception to function, so not sure how you were trying to connect it. Try this: 1) Once the installation of the app has occured on your smart device, the ON/OFF Button on the camera can now be pressed to turn the device on. 2) Once powered on, the blue light on the front of the camera will illuminate. Once you have seen the blue light, open the Wi-Fi settings and locate *SONIX***" to connect to the Wireless camera. After you have connected, open the App. Hope that helps!

“The Camera picture is great. The only issue I have is the signal from the Camera to the app/phone is poor. Cannot connect to the Camera when the phone is in the car and the Camera is on the back of the Caravan.Says 15m but not when in the car. Disappointing.”

“The idea is great. The magnet is strong and the ability to swivel the camera works well. The picture displayed on my phone is average and the benefit it provides is not what I expected. Maybe I need to reposition the device, and practise more.”

“I purchased this as I thought I could use it as a “Float Camera” so I can see my horse INSIDE the float while travelling. This product has exceeded my expectations. Simple set up and easy to use. I love that I can move it around my float as it’s metal and basically can be put anywhere on any angle with the magnetic attachment. The battery life is easily 8 hours of continuous use. Thanks Oricom for another quality product.”
