“After trying on this coat, I would have bought it even if it wasn't heated. After using the measurement chart, being in-between and thus going up a size, it fits absolutely perfectly even with a sweater underneath. It looks so good on me! I love the fabric color―red is my favorite color and it's not easy to find a good-looking coat in a red/maroon color. I even like the detachable fur trim. It does tend to make the hood a bit huge and floppy feeling, but I rarely wear a hood anyway as I prefer more tightly-fitting knit beanies (thanks Ororo for the free-with-purchase beanie!). And the coat has numerous generously sized pockets....I'm an amateur astronomer and bought this coat for colder observing nights, but didn't realize how much I would appreciate room for the various tools and gadgets I use with my telescopes―I can fit everything I need to carry into these pockets.
A couple other things I liked: The on/off button for the heater is on the inside of the coat, which is nice because it doesn't emit light onto my astronomy sessions. I wish all Ororo heated wear did this. The heat is not as hot as I would prefer, but it's adequate for the job and enough to keep me from being miserable on those colder nights. The cinch waist cord is nice to make it a little more contoured to my body, and I love the longer length, which helps keep the wind off my legs a little bit more than a shorter jacket would do. The arms are also long enough―I have a bit longer arms than most and get tired of my wrists always being cold. This coat totally covers them without being in the way of my hands.
The coat is nicely made and has a feeling of quality. I had a bit of an initial learning curve with the zipper as other users have mentioned. However mine does fundamentally work and once I figured out the best way to do it, I can get it zipped up without any problem.
This is a wonderful coat and I am VERY happy with this purchase.”
“The open-box fleece came in all the normal packaging and appeared like a brand new item. I bought this in a size small, which is my normal t-shirt size, and it was a perfect fit. This fleece is way more than you think it is, it is double lined and the inside is super soft and fluffy. Its super thick and warm even without the heating element, that's just icing on the cake. I would recommend the fleece to everyone, its amazing!”
