“My son plays travel hockey, so I spend a lot of time at different hockey rinks. I have an Ororo heated coat, but some rinks are colder than other rinks and sometimes you do not need a coat, so I wanted to try a vest and Bauer is a trusted name in hockey so I thought I would try the Bauer vest.
SIZING: I ordered the medium. I am 5’11’’ with a 39 chest and 32 waist, which is right on the smaller size of the size chart online for a medium. However, the battery back is located on the left-hand side pocket; right by the hip and it does take up some room, so if you are between sizes then I would say to size up in order to take into account for the battery. Otherwise, I would say the size guide on the website is accurate to fit.
MATERIAL: The vest is well made. It has a heavy-duty zipper and even has a pocket on the inside right-hand side to hold gloves or other items. I appreciate this pocket as there can never be too many pockets. The puffiness of the vest makes it very comfortable to wear.
HEAT: The heating zones allow you to adjust the temperature as needed. I personally prefer it to be on high when I am in the rink but then love that I can turn it down or off when I get outside. The heat along the back of my neck and in the pockets is very nice while standing in the penalty box or next to the rink. Some tournaments have games almost back-to-back with no time to really leave the rink, but the battery has lasted during those times without needing to recharge. Just recharge it at the end of the day and it is ready to go again.
OVERALL: Overall, this vest is very practical and useful and just what I was looking for. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family.”

The weight of the vest is perfect - it feels light but it is incredibly warm. It is not bulky or too large, and it kept shape while I wore it. It is true to size - I generally wear a medium, and this fits just right. The length is perfect for heating my torso, and it hits in just the right spot right below the belt of my pants. The heating zones are in perfect spots for colder days and nights. Not to mention, this vest is so comfortable! I plan to wear underneath my ski jackets for cold ski days, but it will also be an amazing stand alone vest to wear to sports and other outdoor events. The battery life is longlasting.
