I also have the Ororo hoodie, and I appreciate that this coat uses the same battery pack.
My kid said the heat on the back feels really warm.
The pockets have a snap-closure; I don't think my kid is ever going to bother to snap the pockets closed. But my kid *really* likes hoods so I wanted to try the coat with a hood, even though it didn't have zip up pockets.
I bought it a size up for my kid because 1) that is what was available and 2) I'm hoping it is a coat he will wear for a while.”

“I own several Ororo products and can't tell you how many times my kids have tried to snuggle into my vest with me, when it's cold outside -- so I was all over ordering these jackets for my two boys for Christmas, when the kids line was finally released.
Both boy's love their jackets and have been wearing them everyday to school. The heat works well and of course, the lighted button attracts plenty of attention -- so many teachers and students have asked about them and I've now heard from two of our friends that they've ordered them for their kids.
Overall, the jackets are good quality. I wish they were a little more water repellant (especially living in Seattle), but they clean up nicely and have kept both boys warm.
I do feel the jacket is a little big, even with following the size guide -- but I'd rather it be too big than too small...hopefully this just means more time to use them with growing kids!
