“These jackets are worth every penny. They heat up quickly on high and cool down quickly to medium and low for comfort.
I work overnight on an anmbulance and, for now, I use it instead of my uniform jacket. It’s come in VERY handy on those below freezing temperature nights.
The fit can be a little odd so make sure you measure before ordering it. If the coat is too loose, you won’t feel the heat. You won’t need to wear a bulky sweater with this coat. In 0°F weather, I’ve worn this coat, my short sleeve uniform shirt, and a short sleeve Under Armor shirt (the long sleeve proved to be too warm with this coat) and never shivered once.
A coworker has a similar coat from Ororo and she suggested getting a second battery pack to get us through the 12 hour shifts. I don’t keep my coat on through the entire shift, but you might find a second battery worth it.

“I've tried this jacket twice. The first time, the jacket seemed warm but the zipper was not sewn properly and it would catch a bit. I returned that and ordered another and it simply doesn't heat up well. Using a heat gun, the "warm" areas of the jacket ar 7 degrees warmer than the rest. It just doesn't translate to good warmth when outdoors. I like the jacket, the material and fit but do I need to try a third to get one that works properly? It's also a wee bit short to hold in the warmth. I'm 6 foot 1.”
