“Using the jacket is simple. Be sure the power pack is fully charged with the supplied charger. Unzip the interior pocket where the power pack will be housed (left hip). Plug in the right angle DC connector to the power pack and zip the pocket. Lined in the interior near the left side of your chest is the LED Power button (it also serves as a Mode button). Long-press the Power button and it will begin to blink Red which puts the jacket into preheat mode. After a few minutes, it defaults to Medium heat mode. You can cycle through modes from Medium, to Low to High. Medium, the button displays a White color. Low is Blue and High is Red. By simply pushing the temperature button, you can change the warmth level to the setting most comfortable for you (3 hours on High, 6 hours on Medium, 10 hours on Low). Long-press to turn off the heat when indoors or when not in use. The heating system uses low voltage so it is safe to use. The power pack has a USB port for charging smartphones and other mobile devices. I doubt I'd ever use that port, but it's nice to know it can be used in a pinch.
During my initial use, I felt the heat in my upper back. The heat was adequate and uniform. There are also heat panels in the two front pockets for your hands. Clever. The jacket looks and feels great. I am an XL and it fits perfectly with some room for a sweater or vest. The collar covers my neck and helps keep the wind out. The Heated Thermolite Jacket has light insulation for cool days and an easy-wearing shell fabric without the bulk. Thermolite synthetic insulation traps heat, blocks wind and feels warm and welcoming. Length of the jacket is past your hips and it can be machine washed (unplug the power pack before wash), which is a plus.
Perfect for people who'd like to maintain their body temperature when it's cold outdoors: outdoors workers, construction, avid cyclists like myself, runners/joggers, hikers, sports attendees, photographers or when doing outdoor winter tasks.”
“Great jacket. Doesn’t get as warm as I thought but it definitely Kees you warm. The jacket has 3 pads. 2 in pockets which is the part that doesn’t heat as much as I’d like. 1 on back. I’d prefer if the jacket had 1 mid back and 2 small patches for shoulder. Keep the pocket warmers and add 2 long patches for chest. I feel that would be optimal and for the price I don’t think it’s to much to ask.”
“Great jacket, water resistant, worm even without heating turned ON. I Love the fact that ON/OFF button is positioned on the inside of the jacket and light is not visible from the outside, making it “stealth” heated jacket. Only thing that would make this jacket perfect are zippers on the outer pockets. This is a potential problem if you are carrying couple of items and if they can’t fit in the inner zipped pocket.
Still, 5 star jacket worth the money!”
“For anyone that does outdoor activities or work in cold weather is crazy not to get this!! The fit is true to size, the battery life lasts all day, and it’s adjustable heat temperatures. Absolutely love it!!”
