“I bought the Ultrasoft vest after taking careful measurements. I chose a medium size on that basis. The vest fits snugly but does not feel tight. It does not inhibit my motion, but it is perhaps a little more snug than I might have otherwise chosen. However, if one wants to get the heat to one's body, it may be better to fit snugly than loosely, as long as it does not feel tight. Overall, I am quite happy with the fit.
I used the vest for the first time while looking through an astronomical telescope for two hours n 42 degree clear weather. I had a light windbreaker over the vest, which was set on medium heat. I never felt cold, nor did I feel excessively hot. It was great. On another day I did an infra-red heat gun test on the vest after it had heated up. I found temperatures ranging from 75-85 F.
I have recommended Ororo products to several people. The Ultrasoft vest is perfect for added warmth on cold days and also if there is someone in your group who seems always to feel cold indoors when others don't.
The battery feels a bit heavy, especially when handling the vest before putting it on, but I hardly feel it once it is on. My wife, on the other hand, does not like the extra weight.”
