Received the gloves. Charged them and couldn’t wait to wear them. They are the warmest gloves i have ever owned.

I might have a defective pair. I guess I'll never know, since customer service response was "if they turn on, should be working OK" and ignored my email, even though I included tons of details. My email to support below, followed by the reply. " I received defective gloves. I bought the open-box Glasgow liners, returns I assume. Someone missed on the qc and let an actual defective pair through and back into the sales pool. The batteries are fine, charge and work as expected. The heating however is spotty and nowhere near the temps listed in the manual. I first tried them at home last week. Even after letting warm up for 10min they only felt slightly above body temp. Once putting them on that heat quickly leached from the gloves dropping them to ambient room temp. I tested them in a room with a wood stove that was already 85 degrees. Using a laser thermometer I registered 86-88 degrees over almost the entire glove, inside and out. Occasionally I'd get a 100 degree return hitting right on an element. The glove is supposed to heat to 130 degrees in cold weather. Less than body temp is sad. I wanted to make sure so took them into the office today to get other opinions. Let them warm on high for 20min. They provide barely noticeable warmth that dissipates within 30 seconds of wearing them, leaving them feeling body or room temp only. Common comment was $1 hand warmers are WAY warmer than these. I did my research and these gloves cannot be working as intended. They have way too many positive reviews to barely beat body temp in a warm room. My hot tub gets warmer than these!" Ororo customer service reply: "Thank you for reaching out. This is Luke with ororo customer service. If you can turn on the gloves and feel the heat, the gloves should be working OK, while they don't meet your expectations. These heated gloves are designed as lightweight models to offer flexibility and ease of movement. To achieve optimal warmth, we recommend wearing them with outer gloves. Thank you for your understanding. Let me know if you have any other concerns." My response: "Devyn Geremia 9:23 AM (5 minutes ago) to ORORO Hi Luke I appreciate you see a lot of these every day and probably scan them at best before sending the canned reply, but yes I certainly do have more concerns. I provided ample details to show that the gloves are not working properly, not just failing to meet my expectations. They are not my expectations anyways, I got my information from your own help section in your website (Ororo support article). As I said I did my research and it was the performance listed on your own website that made me go with these gloves. They cannot maintain the temp listed on your website for the lowest setting (100 degrees) when set to HIGH for 30 minutes. The fact the product turns on is a pretty low bar for "working OK." The gloves do not heat above body temperature in a warm room. Yes, you can feel heat for a brief period as the gloves during the heat up cycle briefly reach above 98.6 degrees. That fades immediately after putting them on, they cannot even heat to body temp sustainably. That is not a working product. Luke, if you bought a new car from a dealership, went to leave and the engine started but the transmission would not engage to drive off the lot, would you accept their statement "should be working OK?" Also while I appreciate the suggestion I buy outer gloves for additional warmth, that shows you did not look at my order, because I bought the outer shells as well. They do not magically make the heating element work properly. I need a pair of working gloves. Please help. I'd like to leave a positive review but this "shit turns on, we good" reply is not a good look for customer service." In case anyone is wondering what the link went to, it's an article in their help section that spells out heat of different settings. Not MY expectations, this is the spec in their own support section.... "The heating level can be adjusted by pressing the power button. Each press will cycle through the apparel’s temperature settings. Preheat (Blinking red): 60°C/140°F High (Red): 55°C/131°F Medium (White): 45°C/113°F Low (Blue): 38°C/100°F *Tested at a room temperature of 25°C/77°F."
