“I waited to give a review until I try these mittens, I have a pair of their heated gloves and I like them so I want it for the extreme cold mittens. I went out at -13 with windchill of -30. My hands were warm occasionally I needed to go to the highest setting, but basically I was on the lowest setting most of the day and the batteries lasted the entire day from about 9 to 3.. I've also used the the mittens on days that it was in the 20s and they did not need to put the heat on. They were so well insulated.. I like the fact that I can take my fingers out to do zippers. Use my telephone and put them right back in and they stay warm.. I was a little skeptical about these mittens because I was looking at mittens in the four to $500 range and I think these perform well”
“These are the best things you can buy if you have cold hands but also need dexterity. I can handle clips and buckles with the tops flipped down, and flip them back up to keep my fingers warm. I do wish they came in an XS for those of us with really tiny hands but I can make the Small work.”
“So far, so good. Have used for bird photography on two occasions with temps right around the freezing mark. The flip top for the fingers and thumb functions well with fairly strong magnets to hold the tops back allowing for relatively free use of the tips of your digits. Once done (or when your fingers are too cold), the mitten design with the heating element allows your fingers to warm up nicely after flipping the top back in place. I believe mine came with older battery technology so the charging seems to take quite a long time. Have not used for a long enough time period to see how long the battery charge lasts when heating the mittens on the high setting.”
“I love these gloves! Very warm specially in your fingers all around which other Ororo gloves do not have. Very handy the fact that you can take the mitten off. One disappointing thing is that they are extremely tight on the bottom, I feel they should be more elastic as much as to cover your jacket sleeve otherwise your hand is not fitted all the way to the fingers. Also the thumb is very small when uncovered and the fabric is so tight around it that it strangles it a bit, I could feel my thumb going numb not because of the cold but because of lack of blood flow. Other than those details these gloves are great! Love them”
