“I prefer the older version of these heated socks. The newer ones seems to have an additional layer that make for a thicker sock and slightly unconfortable. It's also a shame that the older batteries don't work in the newer socks and vice versa.”
“The design of this sock is NOT good for skiers. The “wire” running from heater coil to battery runs right over the ankle bone. Not good in ski boots. I have tried to twist the sock to get the “wire” away from ankle bone but then the sock is not comfortable.
I WILL keep both pair of socks as I can use them for other than skiing but you need to know that this is a REALLY POOR design. I will continue to use my hotronic socks for skiing and will purchase them for skiing when I need to replace. Sorry - yours do NOT match up to Hotronic's. Yours are less expensive but comfort is more important than price.”
