“The vest works well and warms up very quickly. I used an aftermarket 6000mah battery and get about 2.5 hours on medium. It’s nice to be able to share with my wife and son without us all needing our own heated vest/jacket. The only improvement I could ask for would be some sort of heat for your chest, the back stays very warm but when there is wind it’s a noticeable difference. I’m 6 ft 220 lbs and the size 2 fits but is on the smaller side.”
“The battery stays near your body and therefore stays warm, leading to much better battery life in very cold conditions (compared to, say, heated gloves for which the battery is exposed). The vest runs a little small but is stretchy enough to go over some layers. I'd like it if they made an even more lightweight version with a battery pack that is lower profile. I've used it at ice climbing belays and on the ski lift and it is great for those purposes.”
