We are proud to announce the latest iteration of the Orranje Stealth Cold Air Intake (CAI), Version 3, featuring a single piece moulded airbox - gone are the days of a handmade, modified standard airbox! The all new Orranje Stealth Cold Air Intake, for the R53 and R52 S, has been moulded in a textured black finish, to keep the stealth look, but also offered painted if you wish for it to stand out in your engine bay. We have improved upon the standard airbox, removing the internal and external ribs to give a smoother look and finish, beefing up the clips on the back which are known to snap off, and removing the battery terminal holder for those wishing for a cleaner look - a fully moulded battery terminal holder is included, allowing you to attach it using the self tapping screws and pre-marked screw points if you wish. If you want to hide the fact that you have a modified airbox on your R53 Cooper S, keep it as it is, straight out of the box. Alternatively you can stick the Orranje decal included within the kit on top of the box and let the world know! This is very similar in design to the JCW performance airbox, and the Dave F airbox, with the additional air feed at the rear, as such, will unlock the additional power that the JCW / Dave F airbox delivers giving an immediate power increase thanks to a free-er flowing air delivery system from the K&N RU-3190 cone air filter (optional extra). An additional added benefit to using this cold air intake is the additional supercharger whine you will experience within your MINI's cockpit when you climb to 4000+ RPMS. Along with the fantastic sound from the cone filter, the Orranje Stealth Intake V2 has been proven to add 4bhp on a stock car, and 9bhp when added with a 15% KAVS pulley (26bhp combined)! As with all modifications, please inform your vehicles insurer if you are installing one of these to your MINI. Please note that the below instructions are for V2, but most steps still apply to the V3. These will be updated shortly. If you wish to use this airbox with another filter, please ensure it matches the spec of the RU-3190 - the R53 JCW filter does not fit the Orranje Stealth Intake.
