Orranje Performance Skid Plate Sump Guard - armour for under your MINI!

Made from 3mm aluminium, weighing in at approx 4kg. This will not only protect the underside of the heart of your MINI but gives the added benefits of greater aerodynamic properties.

This
does not interfere with the OMP / GTT lower brace.

This fits the R50, R52 and R53 first gen MINI, includes a stainless steel fitting kit, and replaces the OEM plastic tray.

“Great quality skid plate, easy to install, but as mentioned in another review, the 2 bolts supplied for the left and right side of the plate are too short, they do not reach and so I had to find 2 other bolts to make it work - Orranje you NEED to change 2 of the bolts supplied to longer versions - maybe 5-10mm longer. The remaining 4 are fine. Other than that, delivery was quick and communication was good.”

Hi Matthew, Thank you for your feedback. To date we have sold over 100 of the R53 sump guards, and not had this issue raised before, so I'm sorry to hear that you found the supplied bolts too short for your car. These bolts do attach to existing brackets that can be bent quite easily, so it's possible that your brackets have been bent upwards and just need bending back down for the bolts to reach. Also, I would recommend spinning the bolts around, so the excess length points upwards, otherwise you are risking catching those on speed bumps - please see the 2nd photo on the product listing. Hi Matthew, To follow up on my reply; I was incorrect in saying we haven't had this issue raised before - I do remember one other customer who found the bolts were slightly too short, so we will be looking to supply longer bolts going forward, to rule out these anomalies. Many thanks, Oli

“Excellent item. Good quality item. Very easy to place on the car. Only thing I struggled with was the two middle bolts where too short so had to swap them for longer ones.”
