About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Whether you're planning a weekend beach trip or the big lap around Oz, getting prepped can feel like a mission. We're here to make it simple. From expert guides and part finders to trusted advice and helpful customer service, we’re your starting point for any off-grid adventure.

We only stock gear we’d use ourselves. From brands like Aussie Traveller, MSA, CampBoss, BLA, Hardkorr, Superior Engineering, Tuff Terrain and Outback Explorer. With over 250 brands on our shelves and growing, we’re proud to support fellow adventurers at every stage of their journey.

We’re 100% Aussie-owned and operated, with our Brisbane showroom open 6 days a week. Swing by Acacia Ridge Monday to Friday (8am–5pm) or Saturday (8am–1pm), or call us on 1300 854 185 to chat about your next trip.

I installed and used the system 2 weeks ago on a caravan trip to Busselton. Unfortunately I found that the LED screen was just too dark to view. If I knew how hard to read it was going to be I definitely would not have purchased. The system operates well but it's an expensive item for something hard to read.

I purchased this System to monitor my 5 Pajero and 3 Caravan tyres. I set up the unit with velcro onto my dash mat in front of the Driver. It's small enough not to impede my vision and get's enough sun for the Solar Charge Panel. I think the Solar Panel is great , so you don't have to run a pwr cable. The readout is easy to see when stationary , so you can do a check before a journey begins. The sun can blank the screen out sometimes. It is interesting to see how the tyre presures fluctuate depending on the daily Temperature. The temperature sender Lock Nuts are a little fiddly to instal, but are necessary. Overal I am happy with the product. I park next to my Caravan at home , so I can keep a check on it's tyres, when not in use, too. Recommended

Very helpful. I have now realized that I was running a few lbs under inflated all round. Had to add 2 lbs to all types to keep to the the 4lb pressure increase guidelines. More relaxed driving now not worrying about a blowout or leak especially on the single axle heavy van. Wish I'd bought them earlier before a couple of big trips.

Disappointed. Bought the 8 sensor ICheck TPMS to replace my 4 sensor TPMS after having a tyre shred on our camper trailer on the Oodnadatta Track. The camper trailer did not have TPMS sensors at the time so we wished to have them installed for our next 10 week Outback trip completed this month. The camper trailer is only 4.2m in length, including the drawbar, with the trailer wheels/tyres less than 6 metres from the ICheck TPMS unit in the vehicle. The TPMS sensors were installed as instructed. On first day of the trip, and most days, the sensors worked for about 50km then the driver's side rear sensor would not read, and the camper trailer sensors would also regularly drop out and not read. Of the 70 days of the trip, all the sensors for the car and camper trailer only worked for 4 days as expected. Fortunately we did not have any punctures or unexpected tyre deflations during our journey. The driver's side rear sensor alarm did go off whilst driving on a very corrugated road indicating that the temperature was too high - this wheel is located beside the rear muffler and exhaust pipe and may have been triggered by the exhaust temperature. The sensors did detect and register the changes in the tyre pressures when we deflated or reinflated the tyres for the different road surfaces and conditions encountered. The TPMS did not perform as expected and described in the ICheck TPMS literature.
