“I had my eye on this functional very charming shed for about a year before I finally ordered it. It arrived in 2 heavy boxes, and I hired my handyman to build it. It took around 3 or so hours for him to put it together and he shared that it was a straight forward project, easy (for someone like him) and the wood and overall quality level were excellent. He didn't encounter any issues whatsoever. He finished the job by applying 2 coats of a high quality marine water based finish. The shed is sturdy, is able to be locked, highly functional and well thought out design and I highly recommend!”

“I recently purchased the garden chalet through home depot. These are me observations. I noticed some gross milling/measurements (3/4 " in some cases) errors, inferior screws and nails. After seeing all these short comings, I decided I needed expert assistance, handyman. The screws stripped out while an drill and the nails, although we're coated would offer little structural help after expansion and contraction over time . All inferior fasternes were upgraded. I like the shed overall but would like some elements to hang from I interior walls.”

“I think this was a very well thought out kit overall it was a fun project I decided to seal the entire shed first and then assembly it took approximately 5 days on and off but all went together quite well just a couple of hiccups overall very pleased with the product. Happy camper”

“This is a terrific garden shed. It looks beautiful, it’s just the right size for my yard, and it’s well put together. I’d recommend highly to anyone and buy another if I need one. Smells of the fresh cedar, love that the roof is shakes. Even looks beautiful wet. Excellent product.”

“Describing this as a 4x2 shed requires a certain amount of spacial flexibility, since the exterior measurements are 45.5" x 20.68", and the interior is significantly smaller still. But, perhaps I'm being overly picky ... I'm old enough to remember when a 2x4 stud was actually 1 5/8" x 3 5/8". Although the directions state that the wood is dry and ready to paint, it appears that the wood was wet-cut, since some trim pieces were quite warped by the time they dried. One trim piece (the rear skirting) was too wide, since the the rear wall panel dips below the top of the base, making it impossible to install without trimming (so much for the "no cutting" claim). The directions and parts list could be clearer as to which pieces are necessary for high vs. low front. Sales literature claimed this could be assembled in 4 hours. Obviously, this doesn't count for painting the base. I'm an experienced wood worker, and this took a more than a day ... not counting two coats of stain. Sorry, but I can't rate this better than "Acceptable" (3 out of 5). One good comment ... it smells nice.”
