“Unfortunately I had to return these. I'm over 6” and these were ridiculously short on the arms and that was before wearing it over a pack. The chest pocket is sealed with Velcro so only a matter of time before the stitching fails and it becomes unfit for use.”

“I have only used this poncho once, in very windy weather with constant rain. Positives first - it fits well, even when it is windy (other ponchos tend to blow all over the place); the sleeves work really well, as does the hood (which can be adjusted to stay in place and remain relatively weather-proof even in high wind); I stayed pretty dry and did not get all sweaty, which does seem to happen with other ponchos. Negatives - it is a bit flimsy (which is a result of trying to achieve minimal weight and maximum packability so no real problem there); I anticipate the zip up to the chin will break soon and if that happens it will compromise the performance of the garment. I would like to see a more heavyweight version with a more robust zip (or even a fastener at the top of the zip to hold it closed even if the zip does break(. This may not be everybody's preference and it is very lightweight but I would prefer a slightly heavier version with a stronger zip. I may be wrong and the zip may last a long time; it just feels flimsy. Overall a well-designed poncho that works well even under adverse conditions that would bugger up other ponchos. Good coverage (even during windy weather) and the sleeves work really well, good adjustments on the hood to keep the weather out, doesn't seem to generate and retain as much heat as other ponchos, and it is available in sensible colours which means you can wear it in public without looking like some wannabe steely-eyed killer in the night. Didn't give it 5 stars because of the zip.... Value for money - I got it in a sale so it was a good deal. Even with international shipping from UK to NZ it was still less than half what it would have cost here in NZ.”
