“Have used this twice in Chicago as winter sets in. Both times with the Alpha jacket, and nothing else. I mean, except for the bib tights, shoes, hat, gloves, etc. But just two layers on top - the thermoregulator and the alpha shell. The first time I figured, I'll probably be cold because this stuff is thin AF so I'll just plan on a 20mi ride... No dice, two 35+ mile rides in a row this was a great base layer. Warmer than I expected, super light. The medium was fine on my 5'10", 162# frame. I lift, so have a non-zero upper body, and this fit well - not too tight, not baggy. Good stuff.”

“I finally had a chance to try this out in the conditions it was made for. It was a cloudy, blustery day in the low- to mid-40s (F). For my torso, I wore this and a mid-weight long-sleeve jersey, topped off by a windproof vest. The vest came off after I got warmed up and I was very comfortable throughout the rest of the ride with just this base layer and the jersey. I'm 5'10" and about 150 lbs. and wear a Pactimo medium - this base layer fits snugly, as it should. I'm also an older man and - as they say - the older we get, the colder we get. 40-45F is probably the lower limit for me for this base layer but I bet younger cyclists would be comfortable down into the 30s! Worth every penny!”

“I've now worn this a few times as a base layer under a thermal long-sleeve jersey and vest in temps in the low 40 degrees and ranging up to the mid 50's with excellent results. Kept me warm in the early part of the ride but I never felt overheated when the temps increased into the 50-degree range. Excellent piece and I would highly recommend it.”

“The base layer came through when it was just above freezing out. I'm willing to give it a try in the high 20s. I'm 5'9", 165 lbs, slim. The M fits perfectly. The arms are plenty long enough.”
