The first group2-3 highback booster from Britax
upto the newest R129/ i-Size standard. Taking all the best features from
the R44 seat the Kidfix IIIS that proved so sucessful both in consumer
sales as well as in safety testing but modernising the seat to the more
stringent R129 tests.
The new generation KIDFIX i-SIZE has been developed
in partnership with leading car manufacturers, to give the ultimate car
travel safety to your child. It's equipped with the proven technologies
of XP-PAD and SecureGuard for frontal impact protection, whilst the new
design SICT protects your child from side collisions. Carefully placed
air ventilation holes aid air circulation to keep your child comfortable
for longer.
Comfort and practicality come as standard with the
KIDFIX i-SIZE. The generously padded soft fabric covers and carefully
placed air ventilation holes on the shell ensure your child travels in
comfort for longer. The slim design of the seat allows for three KIDFIX
i-SIZE seats to be installed in the back row of a wide range of cars,
whilst the headrest markings help the parents find the right headrest
height every single time.
Made in Europe. At Britax Römer, we're proud
to manufacture 90% of our car seats in Germany or Great Britain. This
helps us with shorter transport routes inside Europe that minimises the
impact on the environment. The cleverly engineered KIDFIX i-SIZE weighs
around 0.6 kg lighter than its predecessor, further contributing to this
efficiency. We also reduced the printed leaflets enclosed with the
product, to give you more choice online.
Working in close partnership with leading car
manufacturers, the seating area has been redesigned to help reduce the
neck loads by up to 50 kg.* These tests have been carried out using a
Q10 dummy that represents an average 10 year old child showing the
protection given even at this higher level of age usage.
XP Pad. Despite good planning and careful
driving, you can never prepare for a collision. To protect your child's
sensitive neck area in case of a frontal impact, Britax Römer has
developed a shock-absorbing foam pad. It prevents the impact of your
child's chin on their chest, absorbing up to 30% * of the energy. A
jerky forward head movement is reduced and the neck is protected. At the
same time it provides additional padding around the edges of the seat
belt.
SICT Side Impact Protection. Our SICT offers
superior protection to your child in the event of a side collision. It
reduces impact forces by minimising the distance between the car and the
car seat and deforms to absorb the energy before it reaches your little
one. To benefit from the protection, simply adjust the SICT on the side
of the car seat closest to the door. SICT reduces the side impact forces
by up to 40%*.
SecureGuard. The SecureGuard helps to
protect your child’s delicate abdominal area by adding an extra – a 4th
– contact point to the 3-point seat belt. By keeping the lap belt in an
optimal position over your child’s pelvic bones SecureGuard helps reduce
abdominal forces in the event of a frontal collision by up to 35 %*, and
at the same time allows your child freedom of movement during the
journey. Tested using a Q6 dummy representing a 6 year old child.
Ergonomic Headrest. The headrest is
designed specifically for the comfort of older children and can easily
be adjusted to the correct position. Helpful markings at the back of the
headrest guide parents to find the right headrest height every single
time when they change the seat between cars or transport multiple
children in the same seat.
Slim Design. The seat's slim and compact
design allows for three seats to be installed in the back row of a wide
range of cars.
Belted or ISOfix installation. KIDFIX i-SIZE
features integrated ISOFIX connectors that enable you to attach the car
seat to the ISOFIX anchorage points in your car. The ISOFIX installation
system offers superior performance in the event of an accident when your
child is secured with the car's 3-point seat belt and ensures that the
car seat is always firmly attached to the car, even when it is not being
used by your child. This child car seat can be installed with the car's
3-point seat belt. This option is handy if you will be transferring the
car seat to different cars which may not all have ISOFIX anchorage
points. Seat belt guides on the car seat will help you install the seat
correctly.
