How does the PerfectFit Harness benefit your dog?
The 3 sections allow a stage by stage size increase to keep pace with her growth.
“Elsa has grown so I am gradually changing the sections to the larger size.
I was very disappointed that you do not offer any charitable recycling of the redundant sections of the harness. I would happily post these back to you at my cost if I believed they would be used to make up harnesses for dogs in rescue or PDSA etc. When we are all trying to live more sustainably you are really missing an trick here and creating unneccesary waste and missing an opportunity to help other dogs.”
Thank you for your thoughtful suggestion regarding the environment & dog welfare. Due to the modular design of the PF, it's uncommon for us to have entire used harnesses available for donation. Additionally, ensuring a perfect fir for shelter dogs can be quite challenging without the right fitting expertise. A comfortable & secure fit is key for all dogs, and especially for more vulnerable dogs.
However, we do actively support our local rescue shelter by donating the few full harnesses we receive, as well as plenty of used individual pieces. The rescue shelter team are very experienced at fitting PerfectFits as they are also stockists of ours, meaning we can ensure the highest level of comfort and safety for the shelter dogs.
We try our very best to minimise waste wherever possible, and maximise our impact in helping as many dogs as we can. In a bid to help other rescue shelters, we have recently introduced a new donation option at the checkout stage of our website to further support these efforts.
