“I liked the set and design. However, I felt like the engraving was kind of powdery and was releasing a bit if black powder. Since this was a gift, I can’t really tell if this will go away with the first wash or not and if the engraving will survive”

It is possible that some excess powder may have remained from the engraving process, which could cause a slight black residue to appear. However, this should not impact the longevity of the engraving itself. In regards to the washing, we recommend hand washing the product as opposed to placing it in the dishwasher to ensure that the engraving remains intact.
