“This prodduct came at the perfect time as we went through a major change in our household. Recently, we had to say our final goodbyes to our senior boy, at the age of 17. Left behind is a sister, age 10, who had never been without him. As a pretty emotional girl normally, Feliway has helped her adjustment period throughout mourning. She has kept calm, though quiet, has become a little more affectionate towards her humans and spends more time where it is plugged in - upstairs. Thankful for our girl enjoying it.

“I have observed a little calmness at the beginning but I cant seem to say the same in the long run. There was a point where our cat will just stay in one area, be content and just hang in there. Any moment she would just be running around like a headless chook and even end up bumping herself anywhere.

“I have been so surprised at how quickly this was effective for our cat. He has had separation anxiety since we have returned to work late last year. We would come home to meows that you could hear through the front door. I think within about 3 days of having this in the main living area, he seemed to be more relaxed and less concerned when we left. I would very much recommend this if you are looking for a safe, easy to use product. The hardest part is finding a power point in the perfect spot!

“My cat can be quite anxious, wont use a scratching post but loves using our lounge and carpeted stairs instead. Once Id plugged the diffuser in, I noticed straight away that he started to sleep downstairs most days and there was a noticeable difference in him scratching the stairs. “I was keen to try this product to help ME get a good nights sleep. Let me explain my 8 year old cat has taken to starting the night in the living room, but comes through in the middle of the night and grooms me before going to sleep. But having my hair enthusiastically licked at 3 in the morning was taking its toll on my hair and my sanity! I have found since using this diffuser that he still starts the night in another room, but when he comes through to the Feliway room he settles without the compulsive grooming. What a relief! “Ive been using Feliway for over 2 years and it definitely works, just have a bit of patience as its not a quick acting thing. Takes a few days to fully see the diffuser effects but it has helped my anxious cat who has FIC - feline idiopathic cystitis. We use other methods/food to help with FIC but Feliway has helped with her anxiety levels and general shyness around people she doesnt know. Its an extremely expensive product and has gone up in price even more which is disappointing. The diffuser also tends to over heat so be careful and check daily. I have two diffusers in a double story house. They both tend to be warm to touch but on the instance it gets hot, I switch it off for a day. Considering the high price point, I hope the company evaluates the safety rating of this product. “This product is supposed to reduce stress in cats, I suppose in one way it did. Our cat is an inside cat and our 2 x Jack Russells are outdoor dogs. When the dogs do come inside our cat now just plays statues instead of running away. But on the flip side it has also made him more curious and he is trying to escape outdoors.... its almost as if he now thinks he can do anything including being cheeky by not moving out of the way when it is needed.
Not quite sure this was the intended effect - and I dont think we will purchase one in the future.

“When we adopted Belle, she was always hiding away, not necessarily scared of us, but more like it was a reflex from her past home which the RSPCA said was an abusive home. Honestly, we didnt expect Feliway to do much, its not like we had any real problems, just hiding and some couch scratching (which we dont punish so thats our fault...). However, Belle now comes out and chills with us a lot more, seems more relaxed, and while she still doesnt like cuddling, its great just seeing her come sit near us and relax rather than under the bed! It will be interesting to see how she develops over a few months.
