“The recipients of this gift subscription never received the promised email telling them why the gift was coming, thanking them, and identifying me as the sender. The first installment they received had no identifying information in the box either. I finally had to ask them if they'd received the gift. Disappointed.”
“The concept, recipes and spice variety is great (5 stars). I have tried 2 recipes and would say the flavor (4 stars) is not as great. I cannot use a lot of hot spice (jalapeños) and one recipe called for them. I left this ingredient out and had to use a lot of salt to bring the flavors out because they were really muted. I prefer not to use a lot of salt so will see how month 2’s recipes turn out.”
“The recipient just received her first month and is excited to try it. I was disappointed that there was NO card with the shipment, nor did the recipient receive any notification (email or otherwise) to expect it or who it was from. I had to ask her if she had received anything. A card should be included (or some type of notification in the box) as well as email sent. Otherwise, seems like a fun gift.”
“I purchased a 6 month subscription for a friend (and they really love it so far) - and her sister had the same idea and also got my friend the same 6 month subscription. Piquant Post immediately caught this, and emailed my friend saying she got two 6 month subscriptions as a gift and asked if she either wanted double the spices, or extend it into a 12 month subscription, which I thought was really nice. The customer service for Piquant Post is wonderful! And again, my friend has really been enjoying the spices so far!”
