“This review is lengthy but I have written it thoughtfully and I have some good inputs regarding PlatinumLed products and customer service.
For weeks I researched red light therapy companies, their lights, prices, sizes, read customer reviews, watched videos of light testing results and scientific reports, etc. before deciding that PlatinumLed was for me.
I really love my BioMax 600 light. It is like laying in God’s holy light!! It is a beautiful experience and I have noticed many benefits from Red/Infared light therapy.!!!PlatinumLed lights are stellar and you will love them!!
When I finally received my light, I used it for a couple of months before I decided to order the horizontal stand. (I could only lay with the light next to me on the bed with carefully propped pillows holding it up so not to interfere with the fans.)
Laying on my side I was not getting a good body coverage in sessions so buying the stand was a great decision.
I love the horizontal stand because it holds the light above my body. It can also be turned vertically and it can hold another light if I choose to buy another one.
The stand is very heavy duty and made well just as their lights are. However, if you are a senior, challenged with strength, arthritis and live alone, the stand might not be a good choice for you. I needed my husband to put it together and it was heavy for him as well. He changed the positions until I chose the one I liked best and now that’s where it will remain and I can easily get under it. The stand is on wheels so I can easily move it over my body to the areas I choose or out of the bed area altogether. It is a few inches off of the floor so think about where you would like to put the stand and what you would be laying on while using it.
My suggestion is that if you order a light, order a stand at the same time. If you want to stand up during your sessions, and don’t want to spend another $300 for the stand, then the door hanger that is included with the light is popular too. But my light weighs 20 lbs so it is too heavy for me to hang and adjust up and down to different body positions by myself. Also, as I said, I love laying down comfortably under the light., with meditation music playing in the background. It’s a lovely way to receive red light therapy.
The only bad thing about ordering from PlatinumLed is because their products are great and very popular it takes a long time to receive your order….In California anyway. And my order was shipped from CA!?!?!
However, Canada would receive in 10 days!!?????
With that and with the shipping crisis, I had to wait 4.5 months to receive this stand!!!!
Each week when I checked the shipping status for my order group # the date would be extended another week!.
Very frustrating!!!!
Although it is very hard waiting for PlatinumLed products because of our their popularity and the shipping crisis your order will come eventually.
Just don’t order anyone a light for Christmas as you will not receive it on time. As I stated I waited 4.5 months for my stand.
One last comment and the reason for my 4 star review….PlatniumLed gives their customers an outlet to email them if you have questions or concerns but the responses are automated and they WILL NOT answer your specific questions or personal concerns.
If you email them about your order the reply will be a pre-written email saying “refer to our shipping details”. More frustrating is when you write and explain that you are aware of the crisis but want to know if the products are stock or not, the response I got was all about how many orders they have and how busy they are and how many thousands of customers they have…Blah, blah, blah.
Not my problem and I shouldn’t have to read about their staffing issues. Customers don’t want to feel like a number. We want personal care. However, I did receive a phone call from a representative when I complained about their email outlet being so basic and not addressing my specific questions and I appreciated that, but that customer email vehicle needs improvement desperately!
Lastly, most internet orders I make don’t actually take your money until the order has been shipped. PlatinumLed takes your money immediately, even when you are waiting months for your order. Not a big deal just another observation.
Overall, I do love their products, but patience is very important when ordering from PlatinumLed.
We all know that there is a shipping crisis in our country and the ships and ports are backed up by the thousands.
I have experienced some delays but never anything like this! Be patient.”
“Like a lot of people, I pieced my setup together over a few purchases. I was afraid to commit too much at first; however, I knew after a week of using red light therapy daily that I had made a good investment. I started with two panels, Biomax 900 and 450. This worked OK, but the panels were a bit short for me and standing during treatments was uncomfortable, even unbearable at times. I then bought a horizontal stand. This was a massive improvement to my setup, but I still had the problem of being unable to hit an entire side of by body at a time. Consequently, I was spending more time than I wanted under the lights. I now have two 900’s on a horizontal stand and a 450 on a tabletop stand. This is the perfect setup for me. I share this setup with my wife. While my wife initially had no interest in red light therapy, she now uses it as much as me. I use it for pain management and my wife uses it for her skin. My back problem is not a problem anymore and my wife looks years younger. I should note that I also bought an inversion table around the same time and believe that the combination of red light therapy, a daily inversion table session, and a traditional corrective exercise regiment is needed to completely fix a back problem. Anyone who has suffered from chronic back pain knows that this routine is worth the effort. The red light therapy also fixed an insomonia problem for me. I spend 10-15 minutes each side under the lights just prior to going to bed. I usually fall asleep during my treatment and sleep through the night after making it to bed. Red light therapy has changed my life (and my wife’s too, I think.) I’m in my fifties but feel better than I did when in my early twenties. I strongly recommend PlatinumLED to anyone considering buying red light panels. PlatinumLED and red light therapy is everything they say it is in those YouTube reviews. You won’t regret the purchase.”
