“Plexaderm is an excellent product overall, however, there are some changes I feel that need to be considered in its production going forward. First as a woman of color, not to be able to wear makeup over it or under it is really a hugh problem and should be addressed--not ignored! Second, the product can leave a white ashy look underneath the eye, and I still am only using a pin drop. I have not used the product in a while simply because of these two important issues. I hope that you will really begin to address this because it is the only product on the market that actually does what it says. Fix these two problems, please!!”

Hi Carolyn, Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m glad Plexaderm helps in many ways, and I’m sorry you’re encountering two key issues. Regarding makeup: some formulas can interact with our serum such as oil-based items. If you’re wearing makeup, try applying the serum first, allow it to fully set (about 10 minutes), then apply makeup with a light, oil-free product on top. Many customers combine both Plexaderm and coverup/foundation. You can try mixing the two and lightly and evenly spread the mixture to areas of concern, once fully set, you can finish applying makeup/foundation to the rest of your face. Regarding the white, ashy look: The Plexaderm formula is quite powerful and if too much is applied you may experience dryness, over tightening, or even see residue. I recommend trying a smaller sized application and spreading it out evenly. Please allow a full 10 minutes for Plexaderm to dry. If you are still experiencing residue, try dampening a cotton ball/swab and gently pat on the areas of concern, this will help take away any unwanted product. “It works great I just wish it was a little cheaper I buy a tube but I can't use it everyday because of the cost thats why I dont buy much and when I do I dont use everyday to make it last but it works good”

Tips to try: - Use a very small amount (about a half-pea size) in a thin, even layer. - Make sure the skin is clean and completely dry before application. - Wait about 10 minutes for the serum to dry/bond before applying any makeup or other products. - If you notice flaking, reduce the amount further and consider applying in a lighter, more even layer. - Avoid rubbing or pulling the skin.
