Very nice looking tap, well constructed and delivered quickly, so why the two stars? There is a design flaw. This is replacing an earlier model and the taps and spout are connected with two solid pipes under the basin. They have modified the collar at the base of the taps and the threads are such that the tap thread cannot rise high enough from underneath to allow the collar and taps to screw on. I tried to contact Hudson read and although the technical department seemed overrun with calls and the wait was too long, I was given an email. I sent in many photos explaining the issue and got a reply that I was being dealt with. Well its a week now without further communication. I have looked at some of their other taps and they have a flexible pipe joining the spout and taps so this would work. I just need them to get round to communicating to sort this out! In the mean time do NOT buy this tap until you know if the design problem has been resolved!
