InSinkErator BADGER5, Continuous-Feed Garbage Disposal without Cord, Waterborne Gray Enamel, 1/2 HP Reviews

4.1 Rating 590 Reviews
This unit replaced an existing Badger 5 (15 years old) that was leaking. It was easy to install by this 72 year old, hooked right up to the existing hardware. Much quieter than the old one it replaced.

reasonable price when compare to local big box store, which none carried the model with the electrical cord already incorporated, Item arrived in new condition withing 24hrs of purchase on plumbingsupplyandmore., installation is about 30-40 minutes specially if you are just replacing similar model, last one 1/3hp model that came with the house lasted 8yrs and started leaking from the bottom, this 1/2hp model seems to be working well and is quieter, it is heavy so just be careful and prop it up with anything to help you keep it up while you secure it to the sink, once lock in place, reconnect all tubing and check for leaks, would definitely recommend this Badger 5 with the electrical cord attached.

This was a replacement for the same make of disposer. This one had a slighty different attachment but after it was on there was no problem and it has been flawless in operation. Upgraded it with more power and it seems extremely durable

This was to replace an existing Incinerator Badger 5. The family got 7 years out of the first one and considering the hard water, that is a pretty good lifespan. The installation of replacement was simple; done in 15 minutes. The plug being built in is excellent so did not have to deal with any rewiring. I just opened package, popped out the dishwasher drain plug, snap onto sink, reconnected pipes, plugged in and done.

I chose to purchase a new garbage disposal because of cost of service call. I had this disposal 15 years only 1 service call. So when it stopped working not making a sound I knew it was gone. I told my Warranty Company I wanted it replaced and they were insisting I have a service call first and they could not confirm when someone would be out until I paid the fee. The fee was more than the cost of the disposal.

This was a replacement for the same type of disposer. This one had a slight different attachment but there was no problem with the installation and it has been flawless in operation. Upgraded it with more power and it seems to work great!

My first garbage disposal ever. For the size, it’s quiet and great speed. Great for the value. Easy to install
