“We had a 2005 version of this product that our builder installed and it finally gave out. Easy to remove and replace old unit - especially since I did not have to replace the stainless ring in the sink. Just unscrew the old one and screw in the new one. Seems powerful enough and it's not loud.”
“This is a super silent unit and simple to install. Shock your septic tank neighbors with this as their eyes grow wide and they say (in dismay), "Oh my!!!! How did you get a garbage disposal?!?!?"The cartridge (Septic Assist) also does double duty by keeping all waste in your tank in check.”
“I am not happy with this. We have 2 sinks. each came with an Insinkerator. One quit, so I ordered this and hired an installer to put it in. It sounds awful. This is a better quality unit, supposedly than the one we replaced, but it sounds wimpy. There is a piece of plastic loose inside the grinding chamber and every time we use it, it keeps trying to grind up that piece of plastic. AFTER the installer installed the new one, he told me there is a reset button on the Insinkerator. To top it off, we likely did not even need a new one. We probably needed to push the reset button, but we just bought the house so did not know.”
“This unit is easy to install and runs quietly. However, the BioCharge cartridge broken open in the box. The box was ruined and cartridge was unusable, but I decided to accept the loss rather than send the entire unit back for replacement. The fluid in the cartridge does not seem to stain and has no obnoxious odor. A new cartridge at Lowes is about $15.”
“Very nice product and was shipped as described. 4 stars only due to instructions are for replacing another disposal as opposed to just adding a disposal. Minor inconvenience but that left it short of perfect.”
