“Has been in use for 2 months. The septic pumper recommended it. Had a plumber install it. I had replaced my counter tops and the new faucets and sink had to be connected anyways. The only problem he had was the size. It's larger than a regular disposer so it wouldn't fit with the existing plumbing. I didn't want to pay for a complete overhaul under the sink. It had to go on the left side of the sink. It's also heavier than a regular disposer so I don't know if it will pull on the plumbing over time. Maybe it should have extra brackets or something for support. It's very quiet and works well. The price at plumbingsupplyandmore was better than the price at the local home supply stores. It came in good time and packaging was fine. Didn't need the plug apparatus I purchased because the plumber said it was better to hard-wire it. Fine with me since I'm not a DIYer in the plumbing department.”
“Installed on kitchen sink with septic system. Runs quiet and doesn't shake the sink. The included Septic Assist liquid enzyme additive bottle has lasted almost 1 year. Haven't tossed anything super tough into this, but with 3/4 HP it should handle most anything. The hoses it comes with it seem a bit flimsy, but haven't had any issues yet.”
“Actual disposal part works great but there is something wrong with the septic assist part of it. I have used this for over 2 months and the fluid level in the bottle is not going down. I have removed the bottle multiple times to make sure it is installed properly and it is still not working. Every time I remove the bottle to check it, I get blue fluid all over my hands.”
“The disposer is great. It's about as quiet as you can get running a 3/4 HP motor turning spinning blades at your sink. I did have to put a support under the bottle of liquid to keep it from drooping down. It does feel like it could drop off. Also, I'm not sure how long the liquid is supposed to last...but after a few months now of admittedly infrequent use, it's still basically full...?!”
“This product works great once installed, very quiet and efficient! The installation was a bit tough for my husband though, and he's very handy at these types of things. But after a few trips to hardware store and YouTube videos, he figured it out!”
“I purchased the Evolution Septic Assist to replace an old one that finally began having problems after about 15 years of service. I feel that I got a good service life out of that one and I have never had a problem with my septic system so I purchased a new model as a replacement. It seems to be just as well built as my old one. It's big and heavy like the old one. It's a little better looking than the old one, if that really matters to you. I believe it does a better job of "disposing" but it is new vs a 15 year old model so it could just be that the old one was worn out; I couldn't say if it worked better when it was new or not. The new one is much quieter than the old one. I would put it at about a third the noise of the old one; a reduction of 66%. I have every reason to believe it will hold up every bit as good as the old one but only time will tell. As a side, be sure to read the instructions concerning the enzyme bottle. If you do not install it properly the disposal will not dispense it. You have to twist the cap on the bottle until the spout pops out and up before installing it.”
