“We recently remodeled the shower. I added a goose neck to raise the shower head & purchased several "Rain Shower" type heads to be disapointed each time> The Delta H2) heads are useless....This head is great. You need to take a pair of needlke nose pliers and remove the plastic restrictor plug (easy to do. It's visible in the inlet-threaded inlet before you install it. Little plastic do dad... pluck it out and toss it)The lever on the side provided two modes:!st uses the entire outlet surface.Great pressure if you have ctiy water. If you have a well, dial your pressure regulator up to 80psi! Life's to short to take a dribble shower... 80 psi won't damage your bladder tank etc. I've had it dialed up for years making my family happy.2nd setting focuses the water flow to the center of the head and raises the output pressure. Great for rinsing shampoo outta your hair.I'm not a Moen rep... I'm a Mechanical contractor. It's a nice piece of gear. Period.Update: After 6 months, the nozzles begin to calcify, restricting flow. I have removed it several times and bought a container to fill with CLR. I leave it soak all day then it's mostly clear. Short of removing it to drain daily, I don't know how to get around this cleaning ritual.”
“I heard so much about these shower heads thought they would be awesome. If you like the rain pouring down on you this is for you. If you prefer that subtle sideways spray, then it isn't. It definitely is different. I have a regular hand held shower head and this one. Try it, you might like it.”
“Unit is large and works well.The chrome exterior is just a thin sheet metal coating and flexes easily. For the price I was expecting a nice solid fixture.Also the flow restrictor is not adjustable or easily removable.”
“Absolutely love this shower head. I removed the restrictor inside (look up youtube video for instructions) and it feels perfect in both modes. One really interesting thing that people didn't really make clear in their reviews is how much hotter the shower is now with the Moen technology. I literally put it 1/4 turn lower than I used to put it because it's so much hotter now. I love this shower head and highly recommend it. Well worth the money.”
“We have a clawfoot tub and the original faucet was in bad shape. So we upgraded our faucet and shower. We originally had what we thought was a nice shower head (Waterpick ~ $50), so we kept it on. But after a little encouragement from Diana we decided to upgrade this as well.This shower head is awesome. Both settings are wonderful, it has a solid build and looks beautiful. The actual face of it is just a little smaller than your average dinner plate, but it has amazing coverage. The sprayer setting is great for rinsing out your hair, or massaging your back, and the rain shower setting is very relaxing.We have a philosophy that it's okay to splurge on anything that we are actually going to use every day, and this is worth every penny.FYI - we took out the green regulator right away, so I don't know what it would be like with it still in.”
“I'm kind of a nut when it comes to showers. I like a strong flow of water whereas my wife likes a softer spray. With this showerhead we both get what we want. With a simple twist of the selection arm I get a firm flow from the center of the head and she gets a rain shower. The rain shower flow rate allows one to suds up and rinse easily. One caveat. Due to the diameter of the showerhead we did have to replace the original shower arm as it was too short to really take advantage of the Velocity heads capabilities. Replacement arms are very inexpensive (under $10) and very easy to install.”
“Just purchased this Moen showerhead to match my other bathroom fixtures. I like having the option to change the "rain fall". THe water pressure is good. The package showed up on time. No issues with delivery or the quality of the product. So glad I found this and would place in other showers too.”
