“Don't get me wrong I like the product but it's way over priced. $200+ is about twice what I feel it's worth. Simple to install, even has flat surface to make tightening easier. I removed the rubber ring to increase water pressure. With the restrictor it just was not enough water pressure for me. I left the green plastic piece but it's plenty strong enough now.”
“For me, I feel this head should not be used on an angle shower arm. When lever is positioned for center (stronger spray) the water leaks out the holes at the bottom.. It looks nice but for $300 at a big box vs $200 online it might still be a bit overpriced.”
“Contrary to other reviews on this site, mine is purely based on looking at the Moen box that this showerhead came in. It clearly reads: "Made in China" I like this showerhead a LOT, but can only give it 4 out of 5 stars because of it's origin.”
“I've been using this for a week now and all my research paid off. Like others, I used a rainfall shower head in a hotel and really liked it. This shower head replaced a standard wall mounted showerhead. The opening for the showerhead is 78" from the floor and I used a Delta RP61273 arm. The shower is 46" square. This configuration allows my 6'4" husband to stand under the showerhead with room to spare. Things I particularly like:With our standard water pressure, we get a nice rainfall effect. It's very soothing to stand under this when it's in a horizontal position. However, sometimes I want to rinse stuff from my hair and I don't want it running all over me. The flip lever shuts down the outside holes and redirects the water to the inner part of the showerhead. This gives a more traditional spray pattern and increases the water pressure. I can then til the showerhead so that I can bend forward and rinse my hair like I did with my old showerhead. It was very easy to install. When I received the showerhead I had a question about the rotating ball so I called Moen. I got a very helpful person who cheerfully answered my questions. If you're in the market for a rainfall showerhead, but want some features of a traditional shower head, I can highly recommend this one.”
“Overall this is a great shower head and I have always preferred the "Rain" style to a standard head and this is one of the best I have used.I did have a few minor issues with it though. One, it's big! A lot bigger and heavier than the rain style heads I have used in the past. I use one of those adjustable shower arms to get my shower a little higher and the weight of this head did cause it to lower from time to time. Another minor issue was where it connects to the pipe. The thread is very short and part of the ball joint that allows you to adjust the head. This also means it rotates as you are trying to instal it and there is no room for a wrench. Also, this is a hundred dollar shower head, they should include 25 cents of thread tape.Once installed, it has been great.”
“We installed this fixture in our remodeled shower. I selected it mostly on finish, price, and size, in that order. These "low flow" fixtures, however, put out a meager amount of water making it difficult to rinse out the shampoo. We have a water softener that causes shampoo to make a lot of lather so it takes a lot of water to rinse our hair.....well, my wife's hair. I'm mostly bald. Solution: I opened the shower head and took out the restricting disk. Now, we adjust the flow with the on/off/flow valve. We are enjoying the rain experience!”
