Moen S6320BN, 8" Diameter Spray Head Rainshower, 2-Function, Bushed Nickel, Velocity Collection Reviews

4.6 Rating 264 Reviews
I bought this for my wife as a birthday present because I had re-grouted our shower over the summer, which led us to use our basement shower, which has a Hansgrohe waterfall head. Once the grout was dry, it was hard to leave the comfort of the waterfall style head and go back to our more traditional shower head. I bought the 14" Moen waterhill arm to raise the head and move it away from the wall, and I don't think we've used our basement shower since. It has a lever which can adjust the volume of water slightly, but it's not a huge adjustment. If you're looking for a replacement head and don't want to break the bank, I'd recommend this all day.

ProsBeautiful constructionVariable pressureConsVery largeExpensiveReviewThis shower head isn't for a standard shower stall or bath. It is designed for someone with a nice fancy bathroom with maybe a tile walled shower where this will fit in nicely. In a small traditional bath or shower stall this unit might not even fit since it is so large if your shower head is too close to the wall. You might not be able to put a shampoo holder over it depending on the style, and the head might bump into objects around it.What do I like about the shower head? The construction is fitting for the price, it has a very smooth valve on it to adjust from a high pressure low volume to a low pressure high volume rain. However, I would rather see the diameter reduced by 4 inches and just offer the high pressure spray. However, my son immediately said "the water comes down too hard" on the high pressure setting, and "not hard enough" on the low pressure setting, so I had to set it halfway between (not sure if it was designed for this or not).Installation was easy, remove the old head and screw this one on and tighten with a 15/16" wrench. No installation directions were provided.Bottom LineIn my basic bath this doesn't make a lot of sense and looks a little funny due to the large size (almost small pizza size), but I think in a more upscale bathroom it would be a really nice match. I really like the feel of the water on high pressure setting and having the higher volume at a lower pressure is nice too, although I think I would exclusively use the high pressure setting.

This rain shower met expectations. As a previous reviewer indicated, taking out the green flow restrictor is easy to do and makes a huge difference on the quantity of water flowing out of this baby. The shower quality is on par with rain showers I've experienced at high end hotels. We usually keep it on the rain shower setting. Flipping over to the high pressure setting is really easy. On this setting, it really is a high power stream which feels great if you have a sore back. This is pricey compared to other showerheads but I don't regret splurging on something that makes a huge difference.

hoped to have stronger flow and was disappointed about this but at least it was easy to obtain something that matched the other fixtures of the bathroom

I ordered this showerhead along with the 9" adjustable arm and diverter for the handheld (I'll write separate reviews for each one) but let me tell you, if you spend just a little bit more on these shower parts you will be most impressed with the quality: heavy metal that should last several years! wow, I am impressed with the quick delivery, and even quicker installation! very, very easy to install. Thank you to the person who posted the photos for this Moen, really appreciated seeing what all the parts looked like installed. And don't forget to order the teflon tape! Great job plumbingsupplyandmore, the discount on this showerhead was awesome.

So despite the negative reviews I went by gut instinct and consumer reviews and I bought this. Simple to install, just make sure you use tephlon tape. If you are installing this in place of an old regular shower head id reccomend you find the "s" shower rod it will replace your little neck that comes out of the wall and allow this shower head to be higher up. I am kind of a energy saving person and I try to limit water use so i left the green limiter in. I must say I think it works fine with it in! The water comes out soft and steady and is very relaxing. When I need the blast its only a lever switch away, which might I add moves effortlessly unlike those old shower heads where you have to twist the ring around the head. I highly reccomend this product as it is, its one of the best things I've purchased for my bathrooms.

While on vacation in Costa Rica my hotel had an overhead shower. The model there was small, very little water pressure but still it was great.2 months later, I installed one in my own bathroom but even better! For my project, I ordered 4 main items from plumbingsupplyandmore:1. *** Moen S6320 Velocity Two-Function 8-Inch Diameter Rainshower Showerhead, Chrome2. Moen T4171 3-Function Transfer Valve Trim Kit without Valve3. Moen 3372 M-PACT Three function 1/2-Inch CC Transfer Valve4. Danze D481316PNV 6-Inch Ceiling Mount Shower Arm with Flange, Polished NickelI drilled a 1 inch hole in the ceiling, mounted a 2X4 across rafters in the attic and lowered the chrome pipe through the ceiling and attached the showerhead. Ran pex pipe across the attic above through the wall to the valve below. Cut out the sheetrock to access the shower wall and installed the valve, and then the trim kit in the shower. I am no plumber but did my homework and found the job easy to do.In my search for a shower-head, my first thought was to go cheap. But in my research, decided to get an 8 or 9 inch model with control lever. I decided on this Moen model for brand, size, water adjustment and being Made in USA. The only downside, it was expensive but there are others for far more money, and others for half the price but Made in China and without the water control lever! Its been 4 days since I installed it and its amazing. The lever allows for a gentle rain or a forceful downward spray. I should mention the water pressure on my home is very light but excellent with Moen's superb design that adds some force to the water. I understand that the flow restricter can be removed but that was unnecessary for my needs and keeping the flow restricter saves water and adds shower time.I am a little surprised at how much I love having an overhead shower. Highly recommended.

Love the rainshower feel. Oil-rubbed bronze finish looks gorgeous against neutral tiles. Taller people appreciate the height.
