You need to take the water flow valve out from inside the head for maximum water flow and stronger pressure. AND then it's great!

I love this Moen shower head but would like to increase the flow since I have long hair and need a bit more flow to get it rinsed well... Can someone explain to a lay person in easy to follow directions how to increase the flow... Thanks so much, hope I don't need a plumber to do it

This is a beautiful rain shower head. It's like standing in a tropical torrential downpour...

I must say it's an attractive shower head, and the distribution of the water makes it more like a water fall than a water hose washing you down but still, the "eco performance" is not strong enough for me, and the installation was a bit of a pain and the shower head itself is pretty heavy so make sure you screw it on pretty tightly. We decided not to use it after trying it. I hope it works out better for you.

Overall this is a nice showerhead. Made of heavy metal, it functions well and will probably last as long as the house it is installed in.However, there were several things that I did not love about the unit. #1 - No directions! #2 - Too heavy to work with my extension pipe (otherwise it is too high). #3 - The water flow is just a bit too gentle; I like to have a "soft" setting, and then something that really will blast the suds out of your hair; this unit does not deliver the high pressure I wished for, despite a fairly high water pressure level at my home. #4 - The retail price seems steep for what you are getting; I would think this should sell for the $50 to $75 range.Don't get me wrong; it is a great looking unit that will last forever and works fine, but before purchasing be sure to explore all of your options.

Love it. Two water densities; full water spray rinses shampoo easily. Large spray range, 360-degree swivel. No lime buildup after months.

Before I could install this showerhead I needed to get an extension because my current pipe sits too low. This showerhead should come out over the top of the tallest person so the rain pours down over their head. There are no instructions with this showerhead, although it's simple to install. Moen doesn't sell showerhead extenders, which surprises me since this is one heavy part and it needs support. At first, I purchased a standard extender, which looked flimsy and didn't appear to be able to hold the weight of the Moen rain showerhead. However, that didn't end up to be the problem, the threads were just a bit too wide to fit into the Moen showerhead, so I took it back. It appears that the same extender is sold everywhere, so that was now out of the question. I eventually settled on an S pipe that replaced my current pipe. I made sure to get one where the S curves downwards, otherwise, it just shoots straight out.Installation was easy. After removing my existing pipe with a pair of pliers, I wrapped silicone plumbers tape around both threaded ends of the S pipe and screwed it into the wall. I then screwed the Moen showerhead onto the top of the S pipe. The out side of the head that you screw onto the pipe has two flat edges so you can clamp your wrench around it to tighten. I don't have a problem with dripping. Someone else mentioned that their pipes are leaking at the seams. That's probably because they didn't use plumbers tape. It's an important step that you don't want to miss. You can get it anywhere plumbing supplies are sold for about a buck.In the first position, the Moen showerhead pours a soft, easy rain down upon you. I almost couldn't feel the water, but it's very relaxing. Probably because it has a wide mouth that completely covers your body in the shower. A simple turn of the knob brings a harder shower through fewer holes. It's not one of those pounding, pulsating showers that make a lot of noise and practically bruise your body, but it will give you a great rinse. I have very thick hair and had no trouble getting the conditioner out of my hair.Kids would probably like this showerhead because it's soft. They don't have to turn their face to keep from having the water rush straight at them.I only gave this four stars because I would have liked to purchase a shower extender from Moen to go with this showerhead, or it should have come with one. I'm surprised they don't make one. And, because there are no instructions for the novice.

The only draw back, is I am having some of the holes dribble water, though overall I do like it
