16" x 25" Whole-House Air Purifier Replacement Filter. Reviews

4.2 Rating 413 Reviews
This costs about half what I used to pay for the installer to come and put it in. Easy to install too.

The filters are very easy to install and last quite a while, however I think are pretty pricey for what they are, but are the only ones I can use.

My new furnace came with Aprilaire basic, but since I have very old heating ducts that used to be on a wood furnace, lots of junk can be/is in there that I probably don't want to breathe. So while I had no complaints with the basics one, I chose to upgrade to the 413! Right now, it is lasting about 2 1/2 months- Not much, you say? Well, the gunk and dirt being collected is phenomenal and it really holds it in, so I am very happy and plan to keep Aprilaire 413 as my go-to, no matter how often I have to change it, as good air health is worth it! I plan to have my ductwork vacuumed out, but, until then, and, after, this is the one for me! Yes, I know they are pricey, I bought the big pack!

The filter is somewhat pricey but exactly the one I needed as my replacement filter.

For the amount of money these costs they aren't worth it. I have to change every 3 months

Extremely disappointed they do not last as long as the packaging states. I do not have any pets, no one smokes, I rarely cook and never open windows. My filters should not need replacement as often as it notifies me.

Was forced to replace my A/C and the new unit uses this filter. You can't find these at the "home" stores, but the install company will cheerfully sell you one for a much higher price. So I check with plumbingsupplyandmore, and wow, these are really expensive when compared to the cardboard framed, thin filters I have been buying for decades. Now I'm disappointed with the new A/C because I'm stcuk buying these Cadillac filters in the future. After the shock wore off, it was time to do the math. The Filtrete filters I was using previously usually cost at least $10 apiece and I needed to replace them every other month (at least - more like monthly). If you go with the recommended annual replacement from AprilAire then the cost is really the same. You'll just have to get over the sticker shock of paying for the year all at once. With three pets in the house, I'll go every six months. Thee are not cheap filters, but the are also not cheap filters. They do a great job, and really the cost is the same at the end of the day. Hopefully these will come down in price over time, and the people who HAVE to buy these can rejoice.
