“I have used these filters for over 20 years and they are fantastic! I've tried filters other than these original AprilAire ones and they do not collect the dust the way the manufacturer product does. Well worth the money! They can be a bit tricky to install -- you have to get aligned just right on the rails but once you do that they slide right in. The secret is to align the top first, slide it in about an inch, then pull the bottom out at an angle and get it started on the bottom rails.”
“Several years ago my family upgraded our heating system, replacing a 1950s era oil heater with a natural gas system. We also upgraded a 1970s era air conditioning system, which shares the controls, fan and filter system.After a couple of years we ran into a problem with the cooling lines freezing and the air conditioning not working well. “I'm giving it a 4 because of price. You're paying for the MERV rating. Don't be fooled by vendors/makers offering cheaper prices for the same size. I've looked at all major brands and they are never a MERV13.”
