“Four years ago a pair of 413 filters could be had for $70. Today, a pair is $100, over a 40 percent increase. Why?I have installed a u tube manometer (look up on plumbingsupplyandmore) to measure pressure change through the filter. That way i can replace on condition and not just time‚Ķi fount that replacing automatically 2x a year was too much. Last two times Ive replaced 9 and 8 months, so in the end my cost hasn't really changed.Aprilaire you need to do better. And there are other sourcing options even when you try to hide behind patenting freaking filters to force an abusive monopolistic position.”
“The filters are good and work as they should. They are rated to be able to change out between every 6 month to a year depending on the air quality, climate and where you live. We have always been on the safe side and changed it every 6 months (we have a lot of dust and pollen that comes in). You can definitely tell that it's doing a good job when we change it out.They're very easy to change out. There are instructions on the box and it has arrows on the filters so you don't put it in wrong. The rails on it make it very simple to slide into place. We have never had any issues with these filters.”
