“Bottomline up front: A direct fit OEM replacement filter that gets the job doneI've gone through a couple of these now, changing out the filter every 6 months. They're OEM and easy to swap out. They seem to do a really good job of filtering out air contaminants, as the filters are pretty covered when I swap them. They are a bit pricey compared to the panel style ones, but you don't change these out as often, so the costs probably equal out. “For some reason all of the other brands of the 213 filter that's for a retrofitted system, don't fit without extra parts and things. This one, I pull it out of the box, I line up the rails, and slide it in. It just works. Why can't the rest be this way?”
“Price the factory models and then compare to these. Looks exactly like the factory version and a LOT less expensive. Purchased 2 (switch out every 6 months) and saved a ton of money. After the first year, I bought 2 more. P.S. If you are on a annual contract for maintenance with your local AC the cost for swapping out these units is super high. I would have the coolant checked every other year and forget the annual contract.”
