“My AO Smith (GCV 50 100) all of a sudden stopped working. No flame, no hot water. Based on a few youtube videos I thought thermocouple might be broken. So instead of buying a thermocouple, I bought entire burner assembly as my water heater is already 15 years old. My issue didn't go away after installing the new burner assembly, so I bought this gas valve and installed it (by a local handyman). Wonder, the water heater is back in business. Price looks cheaper at Plumbing Supply than at my nearby local stores.”
