“Had a standard big box check valve installed previously by a plumber when the sewage basin was originally set up. I'm not sure of the brand but it thumped and vibrated the PVC piping. The plumber installed just adequate equipment. About 5 years past and decided to upgrade the equipment primarily due to the lid leaking sewage smell when the roof vent pipes ice capped in sub-freezing temperatures. The check valve is extremely quiet, does not thump or vibrate and provides a visual of how it's working. It also is installed as a compression fitting so change out would be easy too if needed. Very pleased with its performance so far.”
