“This is a must for anyone that has water issues in the basement and no back up power source. The pump seemed a little cheap out of the box, being that is is mostly plastic. I don’t think this will effect its longevity. This installs pretty easily. The hardest part is knowing what backflow preventer to install and you definitely need a backflow preventer. The pump’s flow rate is more than adequate. I was not able to use a 3/4†water supply and instead used a 1/2â€. For my application with the city water pressure and about 7 feet to the discharge the 1/2†worked fine.”
“Fantastic backup pump. Not a first time thing to install though. You'll need to know how to cut and glue pvc together, as well as running a feed line to it from your main supply.I have a pex manifold i put in recently so i thought i could get away with using a 1/2" supply line. It works but is very slow with that amount of flow. I'll be changing over to the proper 3/4" line soon.This is strictly a backup pump, instructions were great, don't forget a secondary check valve for your feed line. Many states require this to meet code. I just called my local building code department and they told me exactly what I needed.”

“I didn't see any pictures of installations with pedestal pumps so I added some. After a little thought I was able to get it to work. I used hose clamps to attach it to my existing pumps motor.I have a 9 foot lift and this thing works great! Pumps 4 inches of water out of the sump in about 10 seconds. Wonderful piece of mind during storms or when traveling.”
